Petition for a Relative - family sponsorship

Service fee: $2500

Permanent immigration to the United States comes with a variety of rights and privileges. One way to obtain resident status in the U.S. is through sponsorship by a relative who is either a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident. We can help a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident petition on behalf of a relative (spouse, parent, child, brother or sister).

A U.S. citizen can petition for the following relatives
➤ Their spouse
➤ An unmarried child under the age of 21
➤ A married son or daughter of any age,
➤ A brother or sister (U.S. citizen must be 21 or older)
➤ A mother or father (U.S. citizen must be 21 or older)

A U.S. resident can petition for the following relatives

➤ Their spouse
➤ An unmarried child under the age of 21
➤ An unmarried son or daughter 21 years of age or older

Applicants are classified into preference categories based on your sponsor's status. Children (under 21), spouses, and parents of U.S. citizens are considered "immediate relatives" under immigration law and are not required to be classified in a family-based category. Once in the U.S. and if eligible, immediate relatives are generally eligible to apply for "adjustment of status" to lawful permanent residence.

Other family members, however, are subject to classification within the family-based categories. This usually means a waiting period after the initial filing until they become eligible to either adjust status if they are in the U.S. or apply for an immigrant visa if they are outside the U.S. Family members who qualify for family-based categories include:

➤ Unmarried sons and daughters (over 21) of U.S. citizens,
➤ Spouses, children, and unmarried sons and daughters of permanent residents,
➤ Married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens,
➤ Siblings of U.S. citizens (over 21 years of age).

A petition for a family member who qualifies for a family-based category should be filed as soon as possible because only a limited number of immigrant visas are available each year (the annual quota is set by the USCIS). In addition, these cases can take a long time to process, so it is best to file as soon as possible.

To begin the process, please email us the documents listed below and we'll contact you to confirm receipt of your email. Please note that any documents that are not in English will need to be translated. We will process your application as soon as we receive it and within a few days you will have your case fully prepared.
